I joined the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Advantage Realty team in 2019 after my wife Cindy and I relocated from the Phoenix valley in 2017 to take up full time residency at a second home we have owned in Payson’s high country since 2005.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, my family immigrated to the USA in 1968 (Chicago) where I completed undergraduate and graduate degrees in Political Science and Philosophy at Universities in Illinois and Colorado. After a further year of PhD study at the University of Calgary my father’s business activities persuaded me to follow his path instead of an academic vocation.

Beginning with a progressive career in government with various agencies funding R&D urban transportation projects I transitioned to the private sector 7 years later to start up an entrepreneurial venture owning and operating a chain of travel agencies specializing in vacation and executive international travel. After divesting business interests 11 years later I was recruited for sales/finance management positions with luxury automotive dealerships in Denver, CO and Scottsdale/Mesa, AZ. Along the way I also purchased, sold and supervised the renovation/upgrading of several homes and became a landlord of rental properties.

Throughout these varied enterprises the focus was on assisting clients with their purchases and sales of significant financial acquisitions and experiences. Landing as a licensed real estate professional has been particularly rewarding as it has combined my past hands on experience with construction, financing and negotiation to work with clients from all walks in life in their journey to purchase and sell real estate with confidence and ease in a challenging and complex business environment.
